WSB Cares Empowers Future Talent with Catering Equipment Donation to Zwaanswyk High School

Our Cape Town WSB Cares team recently had the privilege of handing over a range of essential catering and kitchen equipment to the Consumer Studies Department at Zwaanswyk High School, helping learners gain the practical skills and confidence they need to succeed.
Investing in Education Through Practical Support
Consumer Studies is a subject that equips learners with valuable life skills and opens doors to careers in hospitality, catering and food services. Having access to the right equipment is essential for both classroom learning and practical assessments.
To support the school’s programme, WSB Cares donated a selection of new catering equipment, including:
- Crockery
- Cooking utensils
- Baking equipment
- Essential kitchen tools for practical lessons and examinations
The donation arrived just in time for the learners’ practical examinations, ensuring every student had access to the equipment required to complete their assessments with confidence.

The excitement was evident as learners eagerly unpacked the new equipment, knowing it would immediately benefit their practical examinations and future learning.
In a heartfelt letter of appreciation, Principal Ms A. Deme thanked World Sports Betting for its generosity, describing the arrival of the equipment as a source of positivity for learners and relief for educators.
The donation has ensured that students can now complete future practical lessons and examinations using the necessary equipment, creating a more supportive and effective learning environment for years to come.
