On 26 November, our WSB Cares team visited the TEARS Foundation offices to lend a helping hand in their vital work supporting survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). Together with the incredible TEARS team, we packed 300 Hope Bags, each one designed to offer dignity, comfort, and essential items to survivors at one of the most traumatic moments of their lives.
These Hope Bags are distributed to Thuthuzela Care Centres across South Africa, where they are given to rape survivors during medical examinations and evidence collection. In a moment of crisis, even the smallest gesture of care can make an immense difference—and that is exactly what each Hope Bag aims to deliver.
