For Women’s Day, the Smile Foundation hosted a heartwarming charity breakfast at the beautiful Killarney Country Club. We at WSB Cares were honoured to support and attend this incredible event, dedicated to bringing smiles to children’s faces across South Africa. It was a morning filled with inspiration, generosity, and community spirit, where every contribution made a significant impact.
A Morning of Inspiration and Laughter
Our event featured the charismatic Leanne Manas and the ever-entertaining John Vlismas. Their lively presence set the perfect tone for the morning, celebrating the achievements and potential of women while underscoring the importance of giving back.
We were also thrilled to hear from Dianne Broodryk and Gerda De Sousa of Jacaranda FM, who shared the fascinating origin story of their podcast, Mevrou Mevrou. They highlighted the incredible power of authentic venting and the strength that comes from honest conversations. Their talk was not only enlightening but also a reminder of the power of women supporting women.

WSB Cares proudly contributed R50,000 towards this meaningful cause, demonstrating our commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children. Additionally, we were excited to offer exclusive VIP Suite tickets to Loftus and a variety of raffle prizes, adding extra excitement to the morning. Every rand raised at the event goes directly towards initiatives that bring joy and hope to children’s lives, a mission we are deeply passionate about supporting.
