Spreading Joy This Easter – A Busy, Beautiful Season for the WSB Cares Team
This Easter, the World Sports Betting CSI Team had the privilege of bringing warmth, love, and a few chocolatey surprises to some truly special communities. From Johannesburg to Pretoria, our Easter weekend was packed with meaningful moments – and although it was a busy one, it was without doubt one of the most rewarding times we’ve had.
🐣 Wednesday, 16 April – Shammah House Easter Fun
We kicked things off early with a joyful Easter Egg Hunt at Shammah House, where 15 wonderful children joined us for an afternoon of fun and surprises.
To make the day even more special, 13 of the children received brand-new school jerseys, ensuring they stay warm and confident at school.
We also delivered groceries for the home and treated the children and staff to a much-loved favourite – KFC! Smiles were everywhere, and we left feeling truly humbled.
🍗 Easter Sunday – Braais and Blessings in Yeoville and Pretoria
While the weather may have been cold and windy in Yeoville, the atmosphere at Mother Teresa’s Home was anything but!
We hosted a full braai for the residents, staff, and dedicated nuns, turning a chilly Easter Sunday into a warm, joyous occasion filled with laughter, delicious food, and fellowship.
In Klipgat, Pretoria, the team went even bigger – preparing a braai for 100 children, helpers, and nuns at another Mother Teresa’s Home.
From the moment we arrived, the joy was tangible – these children were full of energy and excitement, and it was a true honour to spend the day with them.
We later learned from the church helpers that many of these children only get to eat red meat two or three times a year. That made the occasion even more meaningful, and we left with full hearts and unforgettable memories.
🎁 Nazareth House – A Gift from the Heart
We couldn’t let Easter Sunday go by without stopping in at Nazareth House.
We sent along a voucher for their Easter lunch – which we’re thrilled to hear was a great success!
