WSB Cares: Empowering Futures Through Our Bursaries Scheme

In our latest video, we take you behind the scenes to meet some of our dedicated team members who are advancing their careers with the help of WSB bursaries.

First, we meet Sifiso Momo from our Payments department, who is studying for a Higher Certificate in Business Management. Sifiso discusses how the bursary has allowed him to further his education, opening doors for growth within the company and expanding his skill set. His dedication to his professional development is commendable.

Next, we hear from Mpho Moloi in our Compliance department, who is pursuing an Occupational Certificate as a Compliance Officer. Mpho shares how this opportunity has enabled her to enhance her expertise, ensuring she can contribute even more effectively to the team. Her commitment to excellence and her field is truly inspiring.

Then, we chat with Pieter Kruger from the IT department, who is working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Services. Pieter talks about how the bursary is helping him deepen his knowledge in IT, equipping him with the tools for success in his role. His journey is a great example of the importance of continuous learning.

Our bursaries scheme also extends beyond our staff, reaching out to the community. A shining example of this is Jemi Luzinga, who received a WSB bursary to study for a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery at Wits University. Jemi’s success story is one of hope and perseverance.

Through our long-standing partnership with Mother Theresa’s charity, which we have supported for over 11 years, Jemi was able to secure this life-changing bursary. In the video, Jemi expresses his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity provided by WSB and shares how it has paved the way for him to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor.
