Supporting Huis Ebenhaeser – A Beacon of Hope in Pretoria

WSB Cares generously supported a beloved home in Pretoria Daspoort, which currently provides a safe haven for 15 children, aged 7 months to 18 years, and 25 elderly residents. Founded in 1981 by Johnny and Soekie Thomas, Huis Ebenhaeser began as a refuge within their own home for children who had experienced neglect, abandonment, abuse, or family turmoil.

Today, Huis Ebenhaeser does more than offer shelter. They ensure the children receive comprehensive medical care, nutritious meals, appropriate clothing, and access to education. The home also benefits from strong ties with local churches that provide valuable counseling and emotional support. Filled with love, positivity, and hope, Huis Ebenhaeser was honored with a visit from World Sports Betting, who spent the afternoon with the caregivers and enjoyed a touching performance by the children.

Yolandi Venter, Sponsorship Manager at WSB, added, “My greatest hope is that more people will open their hearts to those in need. Even what may seem like a small gesture to you can make a significant difference in someone else’s life.”
